We Will Never Ask for Your PIN or Personal Information

Pioneer Valley Federal Credit Union  |  Member Security Alert

Your financial security is the foundation of everything we do. As scammers become increasingly sophisticated — impersonating financial institutions through calls, texts, and emails — we want to be absolutely clear about how Pioneer Valley Federal Credit Union communicates with you.

Pioneer Valley Federal Credit Union will NEVER contact you asking for your personal or account security information.

What We Will Never Ask For

No matter how a message appears, PVCU staff will never ask you to provide:

  • Your PIN
  • Your password or online banking credentials
  • Your full Social Security Number
  • Your full account or card numbers
  • One-time verification or security codes

How to Spot a Scam

Fraudsters often create a sense of urgency — claiming your account has been compromised, a payment failed, or that immediate action is required. These are common tactics designed to pressure you into sharing sensitive information before you have time to think.

If you receive any call, text, or email claiming to be from PVCU and asking for the information listed above — regardless of how official it looks — do not respond. It is a scam.

What to Do If Something Seems Off

  • Hang up immediately or ignore the message — do not engage.
  • Do not click any links in suspicious emails or texts.
  • Call us directly at 413-733-2800 to verify any communication.

When in doubt, reach out. We would rather you call us one too many times than fall victim to a scam. Our team is always here to help you verify the legitimacy of any communication.

People Helping People,

Pioneer Valley Federal Credit Union
